Who We Are

Home Fraud Defense™ is an Arizona-based education and awareness initiative focused on helping real estate professionals, homeowners, seniors, and organizations recognize, prevent, and respond appropriately to real estate fraud and other consumer fraud scams.

The initiative was created in response to the rapid growth of sophisticated fraud schemes targeting property owners and consumers - driven in large part by advances in technology, artificial intelligence, and identity theft. These crimes evolve faster than traditional education models can keep pace, creating a critical gap between threats and public awareness.

Our programs are designed to be practical, current, and directly applicable to real-world situations.

Our Role and Limitations

Home Fraud Defense™ provides education, training, and fraud-awareness resources related to real estate fraud and other consumer fraud scams.

We do not:

  • Investigate crimes

  • Accept or process fraud reports

  • Replace law enforcement, regulatory agencies, or legal counsel

Individuals who believe they are victims of fraud should contact their local law enforcement agency or appropriate government authority immediately.

Regulatory Standing

Home Fraud Defense™ is an Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE)-approved real estate school, offering an ADRE-approved course in real estate fraud protection that provides two hours of Arizona real estate continuing education (CE) credit to attendees who successfully complete the training.

Our education programs are developed to meet state standards while addressing real-world risks faced by today's consumers and professionals.

Certification and Professional Development

In addition to CE training, Home Fraud Defense™ offers the Home Fraud Defense Certified Professional (HFDCP™) program.

The HFDCP™ designation is a privately issued, optional professional certificate designed for individuals who want:

  • Deeper knowledge of fraud risks and prevention strategies

  • Ongoing updates on emerging fraud trends

  • Professional recognition for advanced training in fraud awareness

Enrollment in the HFDCP™ program is not required to receive CE credit.

All instruction is provided for educational purposes only and is designed to support informed decision-making in accordance with Arizona real estate education standards. Home Fraud Defense™ does not investigate complaints, provide legal advice, or exercise regulatory or enforcement authority.
